Zane Barrett a.k.a DJZ is a Professional DJ playing a varied selection of Classic Bangers to Top 40 – EDM to DnB – Hip Hop to R&B – Funk to Disco... and more!

 

Zane has had a passion for music all his life with having a good old portable 45 record player growing up that was used endlessly, until he was gifted the twin cassette ghetto blaster – the birth of the mix tape! Zane’s roots are from the east side of Christchurch where a burst of Club and Hip Hop DJ’s originated in the mid 90’s, and where Zane’s infatuation with the DJ culture began.

 

Zane would hit the clubs and hang around the DJ booths until he got his lucky break working locally as a Mobile DJ. From there came the first club residency and consistently DJing 2-4 nights a week at bars, clubs & weddings etc.

 

Having the opportunity to DJ around New Zealand has been a great experience, and Zane has been proud to work with and support some great Kiwi bands and DJ’s over the years.

 

Now he is focusses on his own DJ company Soundz Entertainment – you'll find him doing regular DJ sets in bar/clubs as well as weddings, events and corporate functions throughout Christchurch & Canterbury.

 

Zane has a real passion for the performance of DJing with researching the ever changing music genres in New Zealand with keeping up with the latest technology in sound and lighting.
